Shawn Hornbeck & Ben Ownby
On October 6, 2002, Michael John Devlin kidnapped the 11-year earlier Shawn Hornbeck and held him captive for 4 years and three months. Shawn was miraculously rescued when on January 8, 2007, Devlin tried to kidnap a 13-year earlier boy Ben Ownby nevertheless a 15-year earlier neighbor witnessed the kidnapping and even observed a crying Ben sitting inside a truck. The boy contacted the police and that’s how Shawn was rescued along with Ben.
