Marliu began modeling for local print ads as well as acting in local T.V. commercials. She started as a weather girl for Multimedios Television. Marilu would not last long with them as she would be scooped up by Milenio T.V. as their weather girl. There she would heat the T.V. screens across Monterrey, and she continues to do so today.
