Kim Novak
Columbia Pictures hired Kim Novak in the hopes of replacing Rita Hayworth and competing with Marilyn Monroe of 20th Century Fox. She cemented her spot in Hollywood by starring in Vertigo. She has only acted sporadically since the ‘60s. She retired in the ‘90s and later survived breast cancer!
